October 2, 2020 – The 20th annual WSOY Community Food Drive received a monetary donation of $100,000 from ADM Cares on Friday morning through the efforts of employees that were matched by the company.

Jennifer Ballinger of ADM Cares says, “Health and wellness is a critical focus of ADM’s business, and ‘Moving for Good’ helped us recognize colleagues’ healthy choices, while also helping feed those in need, right here in Macon County.”

ADM has long been a financial and also in-kind supporter of the WSOY Community Food Drive; in previous years supplying semi-trailers to transport food donations to the pantries.

This year employees planned a fund drive within the organization where $1 would be donated to the food drive for every exercise mile a partner would record during the campaign. Their goal was for every colleague to log at least 1 mile, totaling about $4,000.

The WSOY Community Food Drive continues until 6 p.m. at Kroger on U.S. 36 East in Decatur.  Money will be collected for area food pantries throughout the day. To give online, CLICK HERE.
