August 11, 2020 –Local healthcare organizations have emphasized that any visitors to hospitals or clinics must wear a face mask at all times.  They say that the public’s compliance in wearing masks is crucial to help reduce the spread of COVID-19 throughout the community.  Visitors must wear masks for the entirety of their visit.  Those who refuse will not be allowed in and will be asked to leave if they do not comply.  There are a variety of masks that are accepted, such as disposable and cloth masks as well as bandanas.  The mask must cover the nose and mouth and be kept on at all times while visiting.  If the visitor does not have a mask, they will be provided one upon entering.

“We realize there are times when it is beneficial to a patient to have a loved one physically present,” said Dr. David Graham, Memorial Health System senior vice president and chief quality and innovation officer. “However, we need the public’s help to keep our patients, our healthcare workers and the community safe.”
