August 4, 2020 – The Good Samaritan Inn has a new Executive Director.
The Board of Directors hired Nicole (Nicky) Besser as the next Executive Director of the Good Samaritan Inn effective September 1, 2020.
According to Good Samaritan, Besser is a Macon County native who brings strong strong skills in the areas of communication, management, grant writing, development and marketing. “We are excited about the future of the Inn and how Ms. Besser will move us forward as we continue to fulfill the Inn’s mission and vision”, says Mary Garrison, Board President.
Reverend Stacey Brohard retired from the Inn on December 31, 2019 and Cindy Jackson has led the organization as the Interim Executive Director since January 1, 2020. “Cindy has been a significant asset to the Inn and we cannot thank her enough for her leadership during this very challenging time”, says Garrison. “We are so pleased Ms. Jackson will remain on staff at the Inn as the Operations Manager as she continues pursuing her bachelor’s degree at Richland Community College and then Millikin University.”
