The 2020 collection season will continue with household paint and electronic collection. Registration is now open and will be limited, so sign up now.
The household paint collection will be held on August 22nd in the parking lot of the Macon County Environmental Management Recycling Center (located at 1750 N. 21st Street in Decatur. The drop-off is limited to 20 containers of paint at no charge and includes latex, oil-based, and most stains and varnishes. Specialty paints will not be accepted.
The electronics collection is on September 12th at the same location. Items such as gaming systems, computer equipment, and video devices will be accepted for free, with a limit of seven items. TV’s and monitors will have a $10 collection fee.
Again, registration will be limited so those interested are encouraged to sign up immediately.
