DECATUR– Millikin University is one of the top colleges in the Midwest according to the annual US News and World Report.
The ranking put Millikin at the #10 spot for best regional colleges, a list that included over 360 colleges. The University was also named the 7th best regional college for veterans, a category that had over 720 submissions.
“Millikin University is in the midst of exciting change and improving success in many areas,” President Patrick White said. “That Millikin has now moved into the top ten in our category ranking is one more recognition of the excellence of a Millikin education and one more affirmation of the success of our students and alumni.”
According to the rating service, the rankings are based on a number of factors including graduation and retention rates, assessment of excellence, faculty resources, student selectivity, and financial resources. The rankings being released in this year’s edition are based on information submitted by schools on various factors from across multiple academic years.
Other Illinois colleges included on the list were Augustana at #2, Trinity Christian College at #24, Eureka College at #29, Judson University at #33, and Greenville College at #35.
