Old Dominion’s Pre Show Ritual

Old Dominion’s Pre Show Ritual

We don’t think we could do this every night!

Old Dominion’s Matthew Ramsey tells Inked magazine that the band’s pre-concert ritual always includes tequila. “Before every show, we take a shot of tequila. It started with just the five of us and now we have a crew of 30 people who get together, drink tequila, do a toast and take that moment to realize how lucky we are to have thousands of people waiting for us to play. We take that moment to let it sink in before we do our job.”

It’s good to have perspective… but yeah, we’re still not doing tequila shots.  We did that in college, and we’re still trying to scrub the Internet of photos. 🙂

Michael Ray and Carly Pearce Dine with Stranger on Thanksgiving

Pop Culture Country claims Michael Ray and Carly Pearce dined with a stranger on Thanksgiving.

Michael posted, “Let me introduce y’all to Bill. We flew home and decided to have Thanksgiving dinner at [Cracker Barrel] tonight. We saw him sitting alone and asked if he would like to sit and have Thanksgiving dinner with us, not knowing the blessing he was going to be. We sat and for 4 hrs listened to Bills 89 year story, learned about his wife Alice that passed away 2 years ago and how they met and the life that they lived. Learned about his love of books, the stars and classical music and so many other incredible things until we looked around and he said I think we are the only ones here haha. We cherished every sec and let him just talk. He put so much in perspective for us both. Bill and us now have dinner plans in Jan.”

Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani Have the BEST Thanksgiving Tradition

Gwen Stefani tells Entertainment Tonight that she and Blake Shelton have a Thanksgiving tradition. “We all fly out to Oklahoma, like 30 of us. Blake has this bed and breakfast hotel that we all stay at, and it’s just pretty incredible. We have fun, we all cook together, it’s fun. This’ll be — I wanna say the fourth [year], but it might be more than that. We’re taking all the Stefanis and then the Shelton bunch are gonna meet up there and just literally [spend] like, five days away.”

Amazon Developing Delivery Robots

Amazon Developing Delivery Robots

CNN claims Amazon.com is testing robots that can carry packages on sidewalks. They’re also developing a self-driving delivery vehicle.

An Amazon representative tells CNN, “When we have a full drone fleet you’ll be able to order anything and get it in 30 minutes if you live near a hub that’s serviced by drones. That’s only possible because of robotics.”

Is it just us, or does this sound like a bad idea?  What if they accidentally drop a heavy package on your pet?!

UPDATE: Sam Hunt Gets DUI in Nashville

WKRN claims the Nashville police arrested Sam Hunt yesterday for a DUI. The 34 year-old was driving the wrong way down an East Nashville road. Sam was swerving when officers found him. He smelled like booze and had bloodshot eyes. Cops found two empty beers in his car. Sam had a blood alcohol level of .173. TMZ says when cops asked Sam for his ID he failed to realize it was sitting on his lap

E! News says Sam and four friends were partying at a Nashville restaurant before he got drunk and then arrested. A source tells the network, “A lot of people at the restaurant knew who he was. He was very nice and was buying drinks for people in the restaurant [and] bar. Sam was making sure everyone had a good time.”

Is Jason Aldean Retiring?

Is Jason Aldean Retiring?

It seems strange, but rumors are swirling about Jason Aldean is retiring from country music!

However, Aldean says he has no such plans. “I’m too young to retire, man. And I think that was the weird thing about winning Artist of the Decade: I almost felt like that was a retirement award or something. I really don’t feel like I’ve been around that long, [but] I turn around and I’ve been here for 14, 15 years. I still love going out and seeing what we can come up with in the studio. I still enjoy making those records. As far as playing live, that’s always been kind of my favorite part of the whole thing. Part of it, I think, is that I’m competitive by nature. I see somebody out there doing this, I wanna go do that too, you know what I mean?”
