Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have officially announced that they’re engaged, with plans to marry in the Spring of next year. Queen Elizabeth says she’s “delighted for the couple.” The engagement is a break from tradition since Meghan is a divorced American, but she’s not the first Royal who’s on her second marriage. Prince Charles’ wife, Camilla, is also divorced. 36-year-old Meghan is 3 years older than Harry. She recently quit her job on the TV show “Suits” as she prepares to move to London. The couple says they fell in love in a secret romance conducted in their “cozy” cottage. They then saw each other every two weeks during their 16-month relationship. Prince Harry said, “The fact that I fell in love with Meghan so incredible quickly was confirmation to me that all the stars have aligned and everything was just perfect. This beautiful woman just tripped and fell into my life. We’re a fantastic team, we know we are and over time we hope to have as much impact as possible.” Prince Harry says he got permission from both his girlfriend’s parents, before popping the question last month, over a roasted chicken dinner.
Timbaland will be featured in Rolling Stone and he reveals a struggle with pill addiction that almost cost him his career and even his life. Timbaland said he got hooked on OxyContin while treating nerve damage from a teenage injury from a gunshot wound. He said, “I was on drugs, dude. Once you’re not popping, it plays with your mind. The pills helped block out the noise. I’d just sleep all day. I remember Jay-Z told me one time, ‘Don’t do no more interviews’ because I was saying crazy sh-t.” His girlfriend couldn’t sleep for a while because she was so worried he would overdose overnight. Timbaland came close once. He said, “All I can tell you is that there was a light. I woke up trying to catch my breath, like I was underwater. But through that whole thing I saw life, I saw where I would be if I don’t change, and where I could be if I did.” Timbaland claims reflecting on Michael Jackson’s fate helped him kick the habit, and he’s now sharing his struggles after watching friends including Chris Cornell and Prince pass away. Timbaland is currently involved in Justin Timberlake’s new album and said it’s finished. Timbaland said, “The music we just made? It’s gonna put him on another plateau.”

Lil Wayne ditched a concert in South Carolina on Saturday because he wouldn’t go through security. He was scheduled to perform at Columbia’s Colonial Life arena for the second annual Fall Ball. Lil Wayne didn’t want to follow standard safety procedures at a check point and turned around and left. The show went on without him because Cardi B, 2 Chainz and more were there. Justin Bieber’s run of public incidents and bad behavior got even worse than his fans ever knew behind the scenes. The pop star’s longtime manager, Scooter Braun, opened up about Bieber’s struggles and says he refused to give up on the singer, even as others in the industry encouraged him to cut ties. He said, “It was worse than people realized. I failed him day after day. We were living in hell because he was in such a dark place.” Bieber’s issues included a 2014 arrest for driving under the influence, a 2013 video showing him urinating in a janitor’s bucket and a photo that appeared to show him smoking marijuana, among other incidents. Braun says the singer began to lose trust in him as a manager and as a friend as his problems continued. But Braun says that he refused to back down and stuck by Bieber, even attending Al-Anon meetings to support the singer. Braun also manages other big-name performers, including Kanye West and Ariana Grande. He said, “Some of the biggest people in the industry, people invested in Justin’s career, told me, ‘It’s over. Focus on something else. That kid is done.’ I made a promise to him when he was 13 that I would never give up on him. I plan on keeping that promise.” He said, “When the time came and Justin needed the resources to get back on track, I wanted to make sure I was a rock and someone he could turn to.” Bieber is now 23, and has reinvented himself, mostly staying out the headlines for the wrong reasons while releasing hits like “Sorry,” “What Do You Mean?” and “Love Yourself.”

The woman who ended up on the extortion sex video with Kevin Hart says she’s a crime victim herself. Montia Sabbag joined her lawyer, Lisa Bloom, for a news conference yesterday and acknowledged she had “an intimate relationship” with Kevin that apparently was partially captured on the video. She said, “I am not an extortionist. I had nothing to do with these recordings.” She says she has not been contacted by law enforcement yet, but Bloom said they are going to cops immediately. Bloom said her client is not demanding money from Kevin, whom she says is also a victim. The comment was intended to address how Sabbag’s previous lawyer told Kevin’s people she would take a lie detector test if they paid her $420,000. The video was secretly shot last month in Las Vegas, when Kevin and Montia spent the evening together at Marquee nightclub. Bloom also said that Kevin had contacted her client and accused her of being the extortionist behind the sex tape.
