October 5, 2019 –The second annual pride Fest in downtown Decatur celebrated inclusion, education, arts and advocacy for the LBGTQ community. The event, held in downtown Decatur included an opening ceremony, family friendly activities, agency and retail vendors, a pet pride parade, live music and drag shows. Organizations such as growing strong sexual assault center and Fifth street renaissance mobile services and PFLAG (P-flag), a group for family advocates for the LGBTQ community were on hand with information and services for attendees. Though Pride month is celebrated in June, event organizers moved the event to October this year so as not to compete with numerous festivals and parades held in June. Check out the photo gallery!
