LISTEN: 4H Teacher Supply Drive

September 13th, 2019- The National Center of Education reports that teachers spend an average of $480 on supplies each school year. In hopes of supporting local area teachers, The University of Illinois Extension 4-H in Macon County is hosting a “Back to School Teacher Supply Drive.” From now until September 30th, the University of Illinois Extension office, located at 3351 N. Howard Brown Blvd. in Decatur, will be collecting much needed school supplies and distributing the items throughout each school. Items being accepted include pens, pencils, notebooks, paper towels, tissues, and hand sanitizer.
