September 11th, 2019- The state of Illinois requires all students to have up-to-date immunizations and exams per guidelines of the IL Department of Public Health. Families will not be able to send their student to school starting Monday, September 16th if verifying documentation from their healthcare provider is not turned into the school office or school nurse before September 15th. To assist families in getting proper vaccines for students, The Macon County Health Department will be extending their hours of operations with additional clinic hours on Friday September 13th from 8:30am to 11:30am, Saturday September 14th from 10:00am to 1:00pm and Monday September 16th from 8:30- 11:30am and 1:00 – 3:30pm. District 61 will also be offering their JumpStart 2 back-to-school clinic Saturday September 14th at the SIU Center for Family Medicine from 8am to 12pm.
