Macon County 4H Collecting for Teacher Supply Drive

August 13, 2019 –  The Macon County 4-H is Hosting a “Back To School Teacher Supply Drive” to show support to area teachers. The Supply drive is hosted by University of Illinois Extension.  If you are interested in donating supplies, they can be dropped off from now until Sept 13th  at the  Extension office at 3351 N. Howard Brown Blvd. in DecaturThe National Center of Education reports that teachers spend an average of $480 on supplies each school year out of their own pocket. Macon County 4-H hopes to support area teachers by collecting much needed school supplies and distributing the items to each school.
