Decatur Celebration – Where Downtown Workers Can Park

August 1, 2019 – Downtown employees needing to park during business hours Friday will have to find spots outside of the Decatur Celebration grounds. Some spots are limited and some are all-day free parking, while still others are permit spaces that will not be available.

Church Street has several all-day parking spots, and drivers can also park on either side of the Masonic Temple. Cerro Gordo Street also has  all-day parking spots available.

Starting Friday, regular parking spots outside Celebration grounds will be in high demand. Several private parking lots downtown will have spaces available, with most charging a fee.

Starting on Friday at 5pm until Sunday at 5pm, the city of Decatur is making the following lots available for celebration guests for a fee of $6:

  • Municipal lot B
  • Municipal lot C
  • Service Lot A (SE corner of E Wood and S. Main)
