August 10 – An international drum troupe, stand-up comedy and classic rock are among the diverse offerings in the Kirkland Fine Art Center’s 2018-19 Performing Arts Season at Millikin University.
For over 45 years, Kirkland Fine Arts Center has provided live performing arts for Decatur and the surrounding area. Kirkland director Jan Traughber says “the 18-19 Season is a wonderful opportunity for the community to attend performances that are ‘must-sees.’”
Traughber pointed specifically to comedian and Millikin alum Joel Kim Booster and the Pink Floyd Laser Spectacular as two examples and said all Kirkland Series events are family-friendly and affordable.
Ticket packages are available for purchase now, and single tickets are available for purchase to donors of the Friends of Kirkland program. Single tickets will be available for the general public to all 2018 events starting Sept. 10, while the 2019 events will go on sale beginning Dec. 3.
The fall lineup features Taikoza Drums (Sept. 29, 7:30 p.m.); comedian Joel Kim Booster (Oct. 6, 9 p.m.); pianist John O’Connor (Oct. 27, 7:30); “Sister Act” (Nov. 9-11); and Holiday Jazz (Dec. 8, 7:30).
