  • Decatur Youth Symphony Orchestra Winter Concert– 7PM-8PM, Central Christian Church- The Decatur Youth Symphony Orchestra and the new Prelude Ensemble present their first performance of the season at Central Christian Church on Monday, November 25th. CLICK HERE for details.

  • Opus 24 Presents: All the Stars Shone Forth- 7:30PM-9:30PM- St Patricks Catholic Church – Opus 24, a community choral group, will perform a mixture of music ushering in the light and hope of the season. The concert will the premier of Lloyd Larson’s for choir, brass, and percussion in commemoration of the life of late Opus 24 member, Dr. Keith Smith.   • Decatur Community Thanksgiving Luncheon– 11:30AM – Decatur Civic Center – The event, sponsored by the Decatur Regional Chamber of Commerce, draws hundreds of community members to dine on a traditional thanksgiving meal served family style by volunteers.  Tickets are just $20 per person or $160 for a table of 8.   • Ornament Bar Pop Up – 5 PM – 8 PM  – The District Shoppe – This District is proud to bring you an Ornament Bar Pop Up, where you can create and take your design.   • Vespers – 2PM and 7:30PM – Kirkland Fine Arts Center – Vespers is one of Millikin’s most popular events, signaling the beginning of the holiday season with a sumptuous evening of carols, choirs, and candlelight. Over 250 musicians join together for this joyous musical feast.   • Christmas Caroling at the Art Farm – 3:30 PM – 4:30 PM – The ArtFarm Decatur – For absolutely no reason except to spread cheer, The ArtFarm will host what we hope will be a MASSIVE group of carolers gathering out front on N. Park Street before the annual Christmas parade, which begins at 5.   • A Very Postmodern Christmas – 7:30 PM – 9:30 PM – Kirkland Fine Arts Center – This holiday season, Scott Bradlee’s Postmodern Jukebox launch their inaugural Christmas tour, entitled “A Very Postmodern Christmas.” Fans can expect the same originality, wit, and virtuosic LIVE musical performances that have garnered them viral online stardom and worldwide acclaim, but for the first time they will witness a revitalization of the idea of a holiday tour itself! The tour will feature PMJ’s rotating retro collective of showstopping vocalists, dancers, and instrumentalists.   • Staley Museum Holiday Open House and Food Drive – 5 PM – 8 PM – The Staley Museum – Celebrate the season and help bring holiday cheer to others. During the first part of the month of December, the museum will be accepting non-perishable food donations to be take to the Salvation Army. The food drive will end in an open house celebration with fresh cookies, cider, and music on December 18th, 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.  Admission will be waived in favor of monetary donations. CLICK HERE for details.
