DECATUR — It’s been 100 years, but you can finally try some Decatur-made beer again.
Decatur Brew Works has finally opened up at 101 N. Main Street in downtown Decatur. The micro-brewery currently has three house beers on tap, in addition to some of the most popular craft beers from around the country. Partner Micah Koll says all of their work is finally coming to fruition.
“There is a lot of blood, sweat, and tears in this place,” says Koll. “We poured out our hearts and souls, and I think the final project will show just how much work we have done. Come in thirsty, because everything is really good!”
Ideally, Koll says their own beers will occupy six of the taps at the brewery in the near future. Aside from Del’s Popcorn and a few snacks available, DBW will not be serving any food. However, they encourage you to order in, or bring in food from the downtown area.
